ABOUT 

Emily Eanes, LPC, LMFT

Emily Eanes graduated from University of Virginia, in 1992 with a degree in Psychology and Minor in Studio Art.  She then completed a Masters in Art Therapy from Eastern Virginia Medical School, culminating in a license in Professional Counseling.  While there, she specialized in family therapy and subsequently became licensed in Marriage and Family Therapy.  

 

Emily has expertise in trauma-informed care, and is trained in utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a powerful modality to recover from past trauma.   Her passion for the field has led to the development of Skyline Counseling.

In addition to private clinical practice, Emily is the Director of Youth and Family Services at the Middle Peninsula, Northern Neck Community Services Board.  There, she has taken a lead role in educating staff in the art of trauma-informed care.
